How to get an A in your Supernova Class
Congratulations! You just signed up for the 12 week Supernova Training Program, and you want to get the most out of your time commitment…what should you do?
- Be sure that all of the members of your team have bought into this change model and are willing to participate in all of the calls. I went through twelve weeks of training with an FA and his assistant only to discover that the senior member of the team had no intention of adopting any of the tenants of Supernova. That defeats everyone’s hard work. All members of a team need to work together to get the most out of the Supernova Program. In other words, if someone is not going to participate, it makes sense to get that resolved ahead of time.
- Make the appointment for the call sacred. Supernova can double your income if done right. Be all in. Put the call time on everyone’s schedule and don’t allow for interruptions.
- Get to the call 15 minutes before each call and review the previous weeks homework. Ask, “Did we do the homework for today’s class to the best of our ability.” Read over the notes that have been sent to you from your coach.
- Build a Supernova Folder for each member of the team. What’s in the folder? Answer: notes from the previous call, homework assignments, and questions that come up during the week. This will be a great place to put your Supernova phone numbers, profile on your coach, and his or her cell phone number.
- Participate in all of the calls. Be sure to ask questions that have come up during the week and are written down in your Supernova Folder.
- Spend 15 minutes together as a team after the call. Assign responsibility to each team member so one person isn’t stuck doing all the work. I took two classes one summer and did my homework right after each class. I discovered that I was always prepared for the next class, and I ended getting two A’s, which never came easy for me.
- Hire an intern ASAP. An intern can do work that would otherwise be done by your assistant. He or she can build all your client folders once you have built the model. Have your intern hire and train their replacement. Always have an intern in place.
- Commit to getting an A in the Supernova Class. In fact, commit to being the best FA team that has ever taken the class. Why not? If you are going to do it, do it right. By trying to be the very best, you are guaranteed to get the most out of the program. Your success will motivate others to follow you across the “Invisible Bridge to positive change”. Congratulations!
